My research work is motivated by a dual aspiration: the writing of a libretto for a new operatic creation and an in-depth reflection on the genre of opera.
Nourished by the diversity of its disciplines, opera allows me a unique exploration of the texts I write. Thus, I constantly ask myself how this form can break free from past conventions to reflect the issues of our time?
On the other hand, in order to continue my questioning of the narratives that are said to be foundational, I am interested for this project in the mythological figure of Isis the Egyptian, to question the way in which the primitive images of the unconscious continue to disrupt our contemporary humanity.
